• Anzor Erkomaishvili First International Folk Festival

Djansug Kakhidze Tbilisi Center for Music & Culture presents the new festival that bears the name of Anzor Erkomaishvili. The emergence of this initiative was conditioned by friendship and creative collaboration of Djansug Kakhidze and Anzor Erkomaishvili as well as by intensive participation of ensemble “Rustavi” founded by Mr. Erkomaishvili in different musical projects of the center. The status of new festival is international, however because of situation occurred in the world it was not possible to bring folk groups from other countries this year and only Georgian ensembles will perform their concert programs. The first supporter of the festival is Tbilisi City Hall, but we are sure that their number will increase to appreciate Anzor Erkomaishvili’s priceless contribution in the research of Georgian folk songs, its preservation, popularization and introduction to the world.
