• Djansug Kakhidze 2nd International Music festival (2016)


    This festival has been established in 2015,
    in case of 80 years anniversary of great Georgian conductor Djansug Kakhidze.
    The aim of the festival is to present a creative synthesis of World Jazz Stars with Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra and to reveal those significant patterns of world classical or Georgian music that stand close to the popular genre.
    This year Georgian audience is given opportunity to listen to legenday jazz vocal group TAKE 6 (USA) and world jazz star, composer, singer and pianist Ivan Lins (Brazil). Also, the listeners could partake the unique improvisational style of Georgian folk music once again and at the end of festival attend the concert which will feature all the favorite songs of Djansug Kakhidze.
